This is a clip we enjoyed watching late last term. A great example of the transition with Metamorphosis. Turn the volume right down as the sound quality isnt that good.

Red and Black Day- Fundraising for St James School
Room 5 and Room 8 put their heads together to organise a 'Red and Black' Day for St James School in Aranui, Christchurch. This is a school that was badly hit with the earthquake back in February. They have only now just opened up again. Kids have been travelling to other schools while they waited for their school to be usable again.
We had an awesome time fundraising today. A huge coin trail saying "Kia Kaha Christchurch", Building challenges, Sand pictures, Cup cakes, Liquefaction pud (jelly and chocolate mousse) to name a few things.
The whole school got behind this venture and we raised about $430! A huge effort from our small school!! Nice work everyone! We are so proud of you!! Kia Kaha Hampton Hill!!

Market Day Term 1
Today we had our first Market Day of the year. We are fundraising for the Year 6 camp. It was lucky that the weather turned out nice and sunny after the cold rainy day yesterday. (It always does that!!)
We had sausages, ‘suck the m&ms’, ‘sponge throwing’(Water),’ light bulb tests’, ‘dancing’, ‘drawing’, ‘netball shoots’, and “guess how many lollies are in a jar” to name a few stalls.
Using our SOLO chart on market day we think that most of us ran our stalls in a “RELATIONAL” or even an “EXTENDED ABSTRACT” way.
We raised $793.34
Nice one everyone!
