Polyhedra- 3D Shapes
We were looking at Polyhedron shapes (3-D shapes with straight edges and flat sides) today. We had a go making them with play dough and iceblock sticks.
We were counting up (V) Vertices (Corners), (E) Edges and (F) Faces. Back in 1750 Leonard Euler discovered this pattern. The pattern was V+F-2 = E. With a cube you have 8 vertices and 6 faces (8+6=14) and subtract 2 and you get the number of edges (12). That’s pretty cool!

Looking at electric circuits
We've been having an awesome time making Electric Maps- Learning about circuits, bulbs and batteries. A special thanks to Mr Geismar who has been helping us out.
